Father and Sons Campout!!One of the boys' favorite thing is father and son's campout. They headed out right after school on Friday and were able to enjoy some of Bishop Jones's famous dutch oven cooking. Before they leave they take all the seats out of the van and get their beds ready so they don't have to set up a tent. This is a treat to sleep in the van, and Kev says is pretty comfortable. They come home stinky but full of stories, most of which Kev wishes they wouldn't tell! Abi is usually a little put out that it is a "Father, SONS" campout and they never have a "Father Daughter" one but this year she was able to go to Grandmas in Beavers so that made it all better. Yeap that also means I had the house to myself!!!

Tell Kevin that I solved for the Father/Daughter campout... The weekend prior to the Father/Son campout, I camp out in my backyard to make sure my camping gear is still in good shape. Probably not as novel to sleep in the car in the garage if your car is your gear. ;) I usually roast hot dogs and marshmallows over the bbq to further simulate camping. :)
