Schools out for the summer!!!
Today was the last day of school. Abi was having a hard time and Mac said he just really wanted to stay with Mrs. Robinson (his kindergarten teacher.) So needless to say I think they would have been ok with staying in for another week or so. Last night Abi was having a hard time I thought it was because she was just tired, but finally about ten she came out in tears. She said, "Mom I don't want to leave elementary school."(Next year she will be at the middle school) It broke my heart, I don't want her to either. She has so many changes going on around her I think she feels overwhelmed. Sometimes it is hard when the world is making you grow up and you're not ready.
Preschool is over for this year. I love being able to teach preschool and having Ben right there with me. He sometimes gives me a run for my money, overall he is wonderful and we had a GREAT year! We will miss friends that have moved on to kindergarten but we look forward to next year.
Benjamin singing his heart out with his three year old class. They were "STARS!" What a good little class. We are excited to have them again next year in the four year old class.
Another year of T-ball is over. What a fun year. It is fun to watch how they grow in skill level in such a short amount of time. Next year pitching machine here we come!
Go Mac Go!!!!!
Mac is ready for the ball to come his way.
Mac with his medal.
Team Scrappers!!! What a fun year, Kev was so grateful to have Abi be the assistant coach. She was a great helper and kept those little guys right in line.
Mac's field day
Mac ran the shuttle run and did well. I missed it by minutes but he told me he was second. Him and his buddy Landon are full of energy.

Abi's track meet
She ran the 400m she tried her very best with a broken arm and all, but didn't do as well as she would have liked. She was a trooper though.
Father and Sons Campout!!
One of the boys' favorite thing is father and son's campout. They headed out right after school on Friday and were able to enjoy some of Bishop Jones's famous dutch oven cooking. Before they leave they take all the seats out of the van and get their beds ready so they don't have to set up a tent. This is a treat to sleep in the van, and Kev says is pretty comfortable. They come home stinky but full of stories, most of which Kev wishes they wouldn't tell! Abi is usually a little put out that it is a "Father, SONS" campout and they never have a "Father Daughter" one but this year she was able to go to Grandmas in Beavers so that made it all better. Yeap that also means I had the house to myself!!!
The one thing I heard the most about was the fire. They thought it was sooo cool. Not to mention it got a little out of control. Thank heavens shovels were close by.
Vance (Ben's friend who will soon live across the street) and Ben were little adventurers. They loved the fire and to wonder off when no one was looking.
The little boys were so tired as soon as they were in the car to come home they were out cold!
What a great camp it was! The boys look forward to it every year.

We are so very excited to announce that we are going to be blessed with a baby girl!! She will be coming to us sometime in September. Abi is THRILLED!! Mac wanted a boy only because that would have meant his own room, but he is coming around to the idea of having another sister. And Ben what can I say; he is just down right excited to have a baby. We are hoping that excitement sticks when she arrives. For right now we are calling her Maggie Kristine.
Kev had a wonderful chance to go to Oklahoma and attend his family reunion. He had a great time! He and Russ left Phoenix on Thursday morning and came home late the next Monday. Kev was so excited to spend some time with his brother and dad and also get the chance to catch up with family. We missed him so much, but we were glad that he was able to spend time with family.
The weather wasn't the best, but that was ok because there was more time to be with family and visit. The boys decided to brave the weather on the last day and do some fishing. Needless to say it was a little cold!
That's my fisherman!
Bountiful fishermen!
In fifth grade the students get the chance to go through the D.A.R.E program. At the end of the year they have a graduation. The graduation is a big deal; they have the students come and participate in activities and feed them lunch. Then the parents come and they have a big ceremony. The students come walking down the aisle to "We are the Champions." It was neat to be there to see Abi. She seemed so grown up it about made me cry; hate to see the water works when she really does graduate!
Our sweet little graduate.

We decided to have some fun for family home evening. We made home made ice cream the old fashion way. We took turns rolling it back and forth for fifteen minutes and then taadaa we had a wonderful treat!
Mmmm Mmmm MMmmmmmm! Nothing like homemade ice cream!!
Sad day at the Anderson home. Abi and her friend Kate decided to test out the new road in town. Abi did not know how steep it was and she was on a scooter. The little wheels just couldn't take it and she went down. We were lucky that she only had the injuries she had because she wasn't wearing a helmet. There was a lot of road rash, but only on the arms and hip,but she did end up with a break just above the wrist. Poor little gal the next week she ended up with a terrible case of the flu. I guess what doesn't break you will make you!
Oh that terrible road rash. It hurt almost worse than the break.
She had to wear a splint for a few days because she had road rash that they wanted to heal before they put the cast on.
Abi checking out the hill that she braved on a tiny scooter. The hill WON!
Cres putting the cast on. Alot of time went into deciding what color the cast should be.
All finished and she is ready to grab a sharpy and have people sign it!
