Just a few things I would like to remember.
I haven't been good at keeping my journals lately. I have been better at blogging so I thought, this is like a journal, I might as well write a few things down that I want to remember.
First, today was one of those days in preschool. It was the three year old class, and for some reason Ben is so bossy in this class. He can sometimes be down right mean, and this was how the day started. Well for show and tell he had a small bead that he showed, (what can I say he was desperate.) We moved past show and tell and I was reading them a book. Right when I was getting to the good part Ben said, "Mom I have something in my nose and it hurts." Because I am such a great mom I said, "Ben get a tissue and please don't interupt during story time." Well after a few minutes he starts to cry for his dad. This was so strange to me, I mean for petes sakes how bad can a booger hurt, and then it hits me, his nose hurts because he put his bead in it. Sure enough he had stuck his show and tell right up his nose. I was able to get it out without too much drama, but I have to admit I was a bit scared and in the end a little mad. What a guy, he gives us many experiences we can laugh about later.
The other thing I wanted to remember was the boys talking about what they wanted to be when they grow up. It all started with Mac saying, "Mom are wars fought for freedom?" I told him they were. He then said when I grow up I want to be a teacher or (so at this moment I knew he was going to say army man and my stomach got a little sick) an army man. But I don't know mom what do you think. I told him what ever he wanted to be he would be great at, but he would probably make a great teacher. He said yeah, because if I was in the army I might die and then you would be sad. For that fleeting moment my mind thought about all those boys who have been, will be, or are in the army. Thank you, thank you to their moms because I am sure when they had that moment when their son said, "Mom I want to be an army guy" there stomach was a little sick as well. Ben then spoke up, "Mom what do you think I should be?" I said I thought you said you wanted to be a doctor. He said, "No, I want to be a PPS guy" ( a UPS guy) what can I say we like packages!!!!
