HAPPY PRESIDENTS DAY!!!
Today was a great day. We knew there was a lot to get done today and we felt bad because it is the kids day off school so we thought we would try to make it a little fun and had a treasure hunt. We started off letting them know that there would be a treasure waiting for them at the house so we headed down there and they found it fast. The next treasure was promised if they worked hard and helped clean up the construction site. The next treasure was waiting for them in the van and that was their Burger King crowns. After Burger King there was another treasure waiting. This one wasn't as thrilling, it was some pledge and rags with a little note attached that said the house needed some attention. They helped out so well and the last treasure was a night of fun with queso dip and games. It's amazing what kids are willing to do if it is turned into a game.

To the kids surprise their first treasure were some work gloves and a few little goodies. We were surprised how excited the kids were to help clean with their new gloves.

The next treasure that the kids found, after they had worked hard at the house, were their burger king hats. The kids love to go to Burger King because it is the only place in town that has a play room. So we basically go to play, throw a few fries in there and bam we have a great adventure!

Oh Abi, What a girl!

Mac loved it all the food the playing and just being with family!
There is nothing better than the play area at burger king this was a tru treasure

HAPPY VALENTINES DAY!!!!!!

We hope that you all had a great day. We love Valentines at our house! I started the day off with Kev kissing the ground I walk on and then we all enjoyed heart shaped french toast. Mac and Ben could not wait to have their school party so they could give their Valentines they had worked so hard on. Abi was so excited to take her valentine box to school and enjoy her day. Last night we made her little alien box to deposit her Valentines and wouldn't you know it took first place. She cracks me up she just kept saying "Thank you so much for helping me, I am just so excited!" It's hard to believe Valentines is already here, I guess the old saying is true "Time flies when you are having fun!"
WELL, today when Kev arrived to his classroom he found this big bear sitting in his chair he was a little leary thinking, who in the world would give me that! OHH it wasn't for him it was for Abi! Her "Friend" Andy gave it to her. His sister is in Kev's class and took it before class and set in on his chair to give to Abi. His sister told Kev they were at Wal-Mart and he told them he needed to buy something for someone and this what he bought. I am thinking his big sister had somehting to do with it. Abi was shocked! She thought it was neat and said Wow I didn't know Andy was that into me. She has had a crush on him since the 2nd grade. She reassured me they are just friends! What a girl!
Here are the boys after their Valentine party. They were so excited to give and get so many Valentines. The great thing for them is they will get another Valentine party tomorrow. We had to cancel the four year old preschool on Wednesday because my mouth was still hurting, so the party will carry on tomorrow!

SO I am a little behind on my postings! I thought that I would start with Christmas. We had such an amazing Christmas. We headed to Beaver and spent it with my family. We were all there and had a great time! We hope the spirit of Christmas was with you all as well. We were renewed with the spirit of our Savior this past holiday season
One of Grandmas gift to the grand kids was a trip to the "Polar Express"! Oh my heavens were they ever excited! We headed to Heber City and that is where we caught the Polar express. It was full of Santas elves and cooks just like in the book. We made our way to the North Pole and that is where we picked up Santa!!! He climbed on board and visited with all the children and gave them each a bell. It was beyond exciting for the kids!!!
I'm sorry I just couldn't resist putting this one in. Don't these two make quite the pair!
Fun times with Grandma!

Ben was just so happy to be there!!!!
I think the girls giggled the entire train ride, and when they weren't giggling they were tormenting the elves.
The boys were thrilled to be on the train and couldn't wait to see Santa at the north pole!
This is our Christmas Eve party. Every year we get together with all of my dads side of the family. This is the second year they all came to Beaver and had it at the restaurant. We had a great time. We missed Grandpa but his spirit was felt. This was Julies first year to play Mary. I am a true believer that good strong traditions make good strong families and this is one of my favorite traditions!!! Lots of cherished memories are centered around this party.
I don't think there is a more perfect shepard.
The boys were in heaven with the buffet style services!!!

The girls highly enjoyed the food!!

Christmas Eve!!! Ohhhh and the wait begins!!!

christmas vacation was so great!! We had everyone home and enjoyed every minute of it. One night we all went bowling, believe it or not it was our dads idea!!

Oh he can look so very innocent!!!

Our New Years Eve was so happening! I hate to say it but I fell asleep ten minutes before the new year arrived. We hope everyones new year has had a good start!
